Demo V1, release and plans for future!


Hi! It's been just under a week since the release of this game's demo and I wanna talk about a few things!

Firstly, a huge thank you to everyone who's checked out this demo! It's been a passion project of mine for a while and to see people playing and enjoying it makes me so happy! I've recently set up a google form where you can submit any feedback you may have which you can find here. Please do take the time to fill this out if you can, you can be as detailed or as brief as you like, hell you can write me an essay for each question!

Next, you may notice that in the bottom left corner of the title screen the version number is not in fact V1.0, but is V1.2! There have been some smaller additions and changes to the game since the release of the first demo version, a list of which can be found at the bottom of this devlog!

I also want to use this devlog to discuss some of my plans for the future of CCP+ and the demo. The demo will receive updates pretty much whenever I feel is right, meaning time between updates will be fairly inconsistent. However I do want to at least attempt to update this game as often as possible, and I will aim to release new areas of the level roughly once every two months if possible. If there are areas that are ready before that threshold then I will attempt to push them out ASAP!

Oh! And as promised, here is the changelog for the three versions I released after 1.0:

V1.1:

  • Updated physics
  • Player count now in map menu
  • Tweaked a scene in Desert Labyrinth
  • Slopey hat (Slopey character by neula) unlockable by getting all checkpoints in the map screen
  • Cloud hat unlockable by getting all scenes in the map screen
  • A few bug fixes

V1.1.1:

  • Increased jump height
  • Compacted hat select screen for future hats

V1.2:

  • Adds saving and loading. Accessible to the left of spawn.
