bruh its been like 11 days since the last devlog what have i done now
hey
kinda an informal devlog just to share some progress on redoing the game
i've re-added the two bosses i talked about before, the mana system and also added the attack indicators so the game feels fair. hexic's chase attack has been replaced with an attack where it bounces around the screen, zappa's second phase has been nerfed a bit and im pretty sure squarent prime is getting completely removed because i just hate it
i've also added a new boss called void which robs your mana in order to resurrect souls of the people who fell into the deep pits of peril. so yeah pretty chill boss.
oh yeah i've modified the player health meter to be a healthbar instead, as having a bar right below a HUGE health meter that is half the screen wide felt a bit odd. i also made the boss healthbar always be red and have a red bg.
speaking of the background i've changed the colours slightly to be more neon pink/cyan-ish. not a huge change but i like it more
so yeah thats about it so au revoir until in 6 years when the next devlog comes out and i've finally finished the next boss
